Pet Checks
Routine checks on the non-commercial movement of pets from GB to NI will be delayed until at least 1 October 2021.

This is from Daera. So no problems this summer.

Thats extremely helpful, I hadn't realised they had pushed the date further back again, looks like NI might be back on for a cruise this summer.

So if one were travelling south, say Gigha, Bangor , Ardglass, Dun Laoghaire then no issues with dogs? I presume no problem if travelling from NI port to Eire port?

No problems travelling to Northern Ireland with a dog until at least October, but you must have an EU pet passport for the dog when entering Southern Ireland. Same as someone from Northern Ireland travelling to Southern Ireland with a dog. They too must have an EU or NI pet passport. So, you won't get away with it by entering an NI port first.
