Apologies for using the admin account and not including a personal signature.

I'll look into providing some more information on the About page. Basically, the site has been setup to offer a simple way of sailing in company, we don't have a clubhouse, so we don't have overheads that require expensive membership fees. The costs for setting the site up have been met by the committee, some of those costs are one off and some will be recurring, such as web hosting.

We hope this different approach to sailing in company (or socialising at the other end) will provide a refreshing change.

What about Ribs and Speedboats

Beware of what you wish for ... you will always be the most popular man on any cruise in company ... that is to say, the chap who gets there first and makes the arrangements, the chap who spends his entire time at the destination running an unpaid ferry service for everyone else and the chap who leaves last after tidying up the mess!

But seriously very welcome so far as I am concerned?

Just signed up. Thanks. Although currently trying to avoid gatherings ?virtual ones are ok though yes?

Yes, keeping my head down too.

One of my local friends is in self isolation at the moment, as a family member came down with a fever etc.

The marina (Shotley) has asked that everyone avoid the office and use the phone for any queries. Otherwise they are working as normal and hoping to keep the lock running.
