Whilst checking the halyards with the rig out of the boat, I noticed significant ware on a section of the mast head spinnaker halyard.
The rope is D2 dyneema, with a braded cover.
I'd assumed it was 12mm, but a vernier micrometre shows it to be a little bit smaller, see photo.
The rope is approximately 41m long and the damage is approximately 16m from one end, 25m from the other end.
This rope would make good a good mainsheet, or jib sheets, or even a halyard for a smaller boat. Or it could possibly be repaired by sliding over a new cover and stitching it in.
The only reason I'm selling it is because of the damage
Both ends are whipped and have a loop to attach a reeving line.
£45 including 2nd class UK postage, the package weighs 7kg.
The cheapest I can find this online as new is about £5 per meter (for a 50m hank) and full price is twice that.
Please PM me if you are interested.
