Lovely day today, one of those late season 'bonus' days when the weather is kind and the river is relatively quiet.
No lock-keeper present at Chertsey all day so half power was the order of the day and DIY. Not a major problem, we all managed, but no notice or explanation.
Would have thought they could have found a stand-in somewhere within the EA personnel bank.
