Found an old copy of this and just read it, about how he ended up with Iskra and their various atlantic crossings. Beautifully written, highly reccomended.
Frank wrote a number of books, some of which I still have, all are worth reading.
He kept Iskra on the next mooring to me at Bradwell Creek and from time to time gave a talk at the club. These were always well attended and this quiet unnasuming man enthralled us with his tales of adventure.
One book that I often reread is Rescue and Recovery the story of how Iskra broke free from a mooring and was wrecked in Hebrides storm, basically it's the story of how he salvaged and rebuilt her alnmost single handed.
I won't spoil the story, but as you can imagine it wasnt straighforward or easy and lesser men than Frank would have given up.
