Production of boats using fibreglass technology has been around since the 60''s. Nowadays, many of these boats are considered as classic designs with classic appearance. This is my Macwester sloop 31ft built in 1971 and still going strong.20170923_181146.jpg20170423_170827.jpg

So basically are we saying any boat built before, say, 1980 is a classic? In that case I shall ‘re-categorise’ mine from MAB to CAB and add a zero to the price when I sell it. Sweet.

You don't see many of them around these days but the craft was good enough to be selected as a training boat by the JSAST. They had the 23's as well.

My Dad bought one new in 1970 we visited the factory at Royston and apparently viewed his boat, very good price and excellent sailing boat

She is a fast old lady and lives in the Eastern Caribbean currently Guadeloupe which is my favorite island.

Reminds me of a chap who walked past us in the boat yard, he said, " last time I saw this boat was when we called in Guadeloupe" kind gave you a nice feeling, or guilt as we sat on shore in the UK.
