Class 2 core to core splice troubles

I’m trying to splice Marlow double braid with dyneema 78 core and a mixed material cover. Trying to do a core to core eye splice tucking the cover into the core. No amount of strength that I possess will enable me to pull the “stuffed” core back into the cover. I’m wondering is it conceivable that it is not possible to accomplish such an eye splice with this line? Or is there a problem with my technique? I’ve tried several times and I’m pretty sure I’m doing everything correctly. Photos attached. Thanks!

If its D2 club I would give up now. I did. There are various notes that it is difficult to splice. difficult is an understatement.
