Buttermans Restaurant, Woolverstone Marina

Does anyone know if there has been a change at Buttermans recently? It always used to be a very reliable place, not 'haute cuisine' but an interesting if short menu, which changed regularly. Now the last few times we have been there the menu has been 'fish and chips, pie and chips, sausauge and chips' etc and has never changed.

Did the chef leave, and was not replaced? Are they cutting costs?

Any information would be welcome. With the closure of the Ramsholt Arms and the Levington Ship the choice of reliable waterside eateries is reducing........

I know they have had problems getting (and keeping) a chef....and on his day off there has only been sandwiches. Think they tried an agency chef but that didnt work out either! Its a popular spot so hope they can sort themselves out!
