I would appreciate some advice regards boat insurance from you knowledgeable people. I was looking to get an idea of insurance premiums when I get my boat in March next year and the question asked by insurance companies is how many years experience I have, which is a couple of years experience of having a little motor boat 30 years ago, but there is no way I can provide proof of that so if I say 2 years and I make a claim will they expect proof in which case I might as well say zero years experience.
Some insurers require a level 2 RYA powerboat cert which I'm happy to do but I can't find anywhere currently running these courses , and certainly not before I get the boat next March, so if anyone knows any different I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction?
Many thanks
