Thought this might be of interest.

Anybody able to confirm whether the stopping off point was Holehaven rather than Ramsgate?

I saw ,... was it Deal? then folkstone
Ramsgate , queenbrough till teddington lock.

those ships and tugs, took me back to my childhood.

I thought Ramsgate, Sandwich, Ramsgate - but then was it Queenborough? Something didn't look right for me, wondered whether Holehaven (because I remember the boatyard discussions at Duntons & elsewhere re where to break the journey, and Holehaven used to be mentioned).

two days in and already fed up working out if you cut a kitchen roll in half you will have have sufficent bog rolls ?
