With this weekend's large tides I nipped down to Duver beach to take this photo of the approach channel to Brembridge Harbour at Low Water.

At the time of the photograph the electronic tide gauge on the harbour website was showing 0.2m and Chimet was reporting a tide height of 0.6m.

The red buoy that is aground on the sand just as the channel turns NE is number 6A.

That is impressive.

Slightly off topic but now that there are finger pontoons at Duver marina the cross tide pushing the boat either on or off the pontoon makes life rather interesting when departing or arriving.

Maybe wrong but I think friends have anchored off and dried out on those flats outside the entrance. Advantage of having a small boat and it is free I think. Drascombes etc.
