A neighbour highly recommended it, so planning to head there on Monday as a shakedown trip after 6 months here in Cascais engineless then locked down.

And - does Sesimbra marina ever have spaces for visitors?

As you're not getting any better/more recent information: We found good anchorage off Sesimbra for a couple of nights - between the marina and a rocky groyne to the NE of it - and there were what looked to be visiting/foreign flagged vessels going in & out, but sadly that was fifteen years ago, so hardly an up to date answer I'm afraid.

You can anchor off Sesimbra beach outside the marina entrance, but beware of katabatic winds hitting the bay at night. Our anchor gear got a proper load testing there! Good holding in the sand though, never dragged an inch. We were in 5-6m depth near the jetty.

Well, we decided to have a week's holiday in Troia. The marina is OK, very friendly staff, but the showers are currently closed, as are all the restaurants etc.

Heading for Sines tomorrow, maybe anchor off the beach for a day or so.
