I was being even more hopeful:
From 8 March, the Stay at Home restriction will continue but it will be amended so that people can leave home for recreation as well as exercise outdoors - with their own household, support or childcare bubble, or with one person from another household. Social distancing and other safe behaviours should be followed.

and 12th April at the earliest before we can stay onboard overnight. Maybe.

But will the 8th March still enforce staying local even though allowed out for recreation.

Perhaps too soon to know. May depend on the difference between guidance, the law, and what you deem morally right.
Certainly for exercise there is no legal restriction on remaining local. The guidance etc. may suggest otherwise.
May have to wait to see how the marinas / RYA interpret it.

To express some empathy perhaps us UK boaters could try to emulate the journey MED boaters all undertake.
Will require paying to travel 6 months before you go , forget all that cheap ticket myth as well.

£285 to get back on the day you want and that departs at 01:30 hours. :(
Eazyjet webtraffic up 600 %.
Book the airport carpark and pay in advance
Up at the crack of of dawn, two hours to airport and two more hours hanging around in the airport.
3 hours in tube full of people desperately suppressing that telltale cough or sneeze.
An hour finding your luggage and then joining the que at car hire.

Sneaking past the capitainerie to avoid being handed the gardiennage invoice before getting amuch needed beer on the boat.


The weather probably will be better in the south of England (not Wales) anyway. :)
