Angus Konstam - anyone read his books?

I mainly read fiction but I saw a book reviewed last week which sparked my interest - Mutiny on the Spanish Main by Angus Konstam. Before I buy the ebook version I'm wondering if anyone has read other books by the author and if he's readable or not?

Very much so... apart from sailing my other passion is wargaming/military history and Angus is well respected in those circles, and readable..
