I am interested in finding a modern, authoritative history book about the UK's pioneering naval warfare upon the transatlantic slave trade in the early part of the 19th century.
By an unprecedented, ethically motivated campaign, the first such targeted endeavour in the history of humanity, we devoted enormous military and financial resources to stop slavery, at least that which we could influence in the Atlantic.
It's something which our nation can be proud of, but seems to be an unfashionable topic., although I would be delighted to be proved wrong!
