Phil Webb and I were in Cherbourg a week or so ago doing research for the Annual visit. We can wholheartedly recommend a restaurant called "Le Faitout". From La Place de la Liberation with your back to the marine turn left passing the "Beer Bar" to your right. One hundred metres along on your left is Le Faitout. If you are there a night early give it a try!
