Removing shaft from R&D coupling

Of course now I can’t get the b-&&£r back in…the end will go in but no more. i imagine the mechanism is using a big ‘ammer on the end of the shaft but I really didn’t want to take the prop off

Use the long bolt method as has been said with a socket tighten up and then get two hammers, hold one against the side of the coupling and give the other side of the coupling a smart hit with other hammer. Very often unsticks the shaft.

I leave my screwdriver wedged in place for re-entry. Then it only takes a few taps on the end of the shaft - this time with my rubber mallet - to reposition it.
