I'm trying to obtain any information on Percy M See and his sons Eric and Eldon See on behalf of Mrs J Underwood (great granddaughter). Anyone who knew them or knows of their boats and designs. Any anecdotes or general information most welcome. Peter See sailed 'Mache' to Australia. After his death the boat was returned to Camper & Nicholsons in the '80s for refurbishment. This is one of the boats we would like to trace

Thanx for that Rat. That was probably one of his last as chandlery owner bought the business about that time.

Hi, just seen your posts. I have drawings done in 1980 by Eric See, presumably from originals by Percy. They are of his diagonal reverse clinker round bilge speedboat and the beautiful 1 1/2 Litre single step racer with a proposed Bugatti single cam engine (presumably type 35).
I am now trying to estimate and draw sections for the latter in order to make a model of the boat.

I obtained the drawings from the Pitsea Museum Library where they had whole drawers full of similar stuff. Alas that museum has now been thrown away by Basildon council. Well, surprise, surprise!

Let me know if you would like some prints. I would be very interested in any further info about the See yard. I understand he was behind the reversed clinker Singer Cadet.
Cheers,
Paglesham
