Now that I've used the last of my stock of Duckham's Keenol, what's the best stuff to use these days? (I'm thinking stern tube and seacocks mainly).

imho it is not "sticky enough" for winches. winch grease is tacky but needs to be lightly appliedI also use Morris's. Its dead cheap and seems to perform well on anything from winches to stern gear. Canal boat chandlers are the best source. http://www.midlandchandlers.co.uk/C...elItemID=e40124eb-37d0-4d43-8001-096e8ab745c5
Going by some of the above suggestions, would the white lithium spray grease you get from halfords also come recommended?
For stern tubes???
If you can't dismantle them, then yes.My mistake, only asking about if spray grease is suitable for seacocks.
What make of seacock, blakes is very "tacky" & the same grade that is used in MaxPropMy mistake, only asking about if spray grease is suitable for seacocks.
