is that so you can get the inflatable canoe and a tender on the back!?
didnt BartW have a high lo fitted which looked pretty good? Osmotech would be my first port of call for you, they did some work for us and were first class!
Personally I don't think it's worth it especially if we upgrade in the next year or so but Chris wants to and thinks it will add to our enjoyment (from the chilling out perspective) so who am I to argue??
Zippy...brilliant idea!...we'll get a hi-lo one and just float off it lol.

Lisa, you need to think about the weight balance of your boat. Too much at the back will slow her transition onto the plane, and give you a nose up attitude (bit like Violet Bucket ). Being a sterndrive boat, the centre of mass is quite rearward already. An extension might be OK, but probably not with too much mass too far back.
Hi,
The hi-lo platform was the ever best modif on our boat,
but she's in the med, I don't know if the benefit is the same in UK waters.
I can recommand H+B technic http://www.h-btechnics.com/
very good quality and nice people to deal with
they have ao a agreement with Fairline for all their hilo platforms
they have many different sizes, weight and dims adapted to the boat size.
I have no local knowledge in UK of yards who can do the work,
any yard can buy from H+B,
find the yard you can thrust or you know,
the work is not complicated we managed ourselves.
its an update that you can (partially) recover when reselling the boat,
or at least this is a addition on it's value.
good luck with it.
Just to add an another vote for Osmotech. They did a relatively minor job for me (installing a holding tank and prepping the boat for transportation) but left a very strong impression of a very capable and professional outfit. I was extremely happy with their service.
I have decided to change the swimplatform of my ST 42 Trawler Beneteau. After a lot of research on the web, I placed an order in US, Teakmarine Woodwork, a company based in Tampa Florida. Steve SCHULLER, the manager is very fair and professionnal. I sent a template current november and during january I received, after cargo shipping the crate with the custom teak platform. The stainless steel work has been done in a yard in med (France). I am very happy with the result,it is, considering the size, less heavy than a GRP one and more elegant ( massive teak).
I will try to post a picture later. www.teakmarinewoodwork.com

I've used Osmotech and been impressed on every occasion.
However if other S35s have extended platforms I assume it is / was a factory option. Why not call the receiver and see if they have any left over stock they would sell you (cheap) then you could get Osmotech to fit it for you or even consider does the display hull at Hamble Point have one they might let you unbolt?
