Would anyone ,by chance, have an idea of who might be able to supply sheets of Formica around the Falmouth area. Many thanks, any ideas would be very welcome. I'd just need one sheet but would like to order in advance.

Try these people, I used their branch in Fife and they had an enormous range available and the prices for sheets was very reasonable, with delivery in a few days to collect from their warehouse

International Decorative Surfaces 3 Budlake Road Marsh Barton Exeter Devon EX2 8PY

Not sure if OP now has answer, so for KevO - I needed some too for a boat refurb I'm currently doing, and went through the same process of trying to find a local stockist, such as Woodstock, but they all needed to send away for it. After waiting for a couple of them to get back to me regarding availability and price, I gave up and rang a supplier myself and received after a couple of days. I used International Decorative Surfaces in Exeter as mentioned by maxi77 above. So they are probably your best bet - they have a good website where you can look at Formica sample patterns.

Had a reply just for others interested, guess i'll have to source it locally with that delivery price.

Good morning

Evening to all, from a wintery Falmouth. I ordered my formica from Jewsons of Penryn. First they said it would come from Exeter so next day delivery, but it was out of stock there and had to come from the Midlands and took three days. Jewsons dropped it down to the boat at Ponsharden as i haven't transport down here. As I only wanted white , it was easy , if you wanted something a bit more exotic i think they mentioned something about a catalogue which you can consult. i got the superior grade stuff, a bit thicker than the other, and cost for a 10ftx nearly 5ft, was £66 plus vat.Can recomend the Jewsons experience quite highly. Good luck.

I have 2 rolls of yacht interior flooring bought from Robbins Timber from a London Boat show visit. They are 8' by 4'. They are like thick formica, semi flexible, and wholly inert (in a boat context!). They are laid with epoxy. They have a holly striping type pattern common to most wooden floor interiors. One roll was damaged in transit, with a small hole punched in the middle, leaving areas approx. 3x4' available. The other, I believe to be intact. Both rolls are in their boxes. Price to me was £80 per roll plus del. Halve the price??
