Lidl has disposable BBQ's in

And if the weather is as bad as last year, they also double well as dehumidifiers if you poke holes in the packet and leave them on the boat

I must say I really rate LIDL and ALDI. Last week I was trying to convince myself I needed an air compressor and air chisel/drill/sprayer etc.

I have a garage full of tools and gadgets, jump pack car stuff and camping sattalite system I just neededso badly.

It must be an illness. I even got a cement mixer for £99 and it is still in its box. So is the bench saw, the wallpaper hanging device, the standby jigsaw (That may have been Aldi) and the vice.

Mind you, I am still using the Lidl BBQ's I bought in 2005. 99p each back then.

Well I am off to town now and I am going to pop in to Aldi while I am there. God only knows what I will come back with this time. Will post later

Are they slow burning or do you unpick the mesh , refill with charcoal and replace the mesh before lighting with with a splash of 2T from your outboard tank

I bought some last year @ 99p, I thought they were a bargain but I feel I have been short changed as I didnt notice any instructions on how to refill them ;)

it's a bad move to light up on a pontoon, bought a £3 instant BBQ from Tesco but it does helpfully have a stand, or so it says.

agree it was expensive. Those on the river at Conwy have the right idea, loads of instant no doubt 99p BBQ's on the pontoon, all placed in a ladder, so no burning pontoon. Now thats very impressive. Apparently they fit in nice and snug.

Back from my trip to the town centre and have invested in the Major's disposable BBQs. Also bought a good quality tool (reduced to £19,99 from £24.99) set for No2 daughter to replace the useless pink things that SWMBO bought her. Looked longingly at the 2.5HP compressor at Aldi for £79.99 but could not justify it. Nearly bought a big box of cable ties but fairly sure we have lots on the boat already.

Off to the boat Mon or Tue and will, hopefully, be using the first of the disposable disposable BBQs

You'll need to buy an Aldi bag to get this in.

There's an aquarium for twenty notes.

I probably would have come back with both. Oh yes, a half dozen of their superb pizzas as well.

What! No aquarium? I would have had the aquarium.
