Thank you for your kind letter regarding the none payment of your extortionate electric bill. £69.48. Plus fine of £15 and a further fine of £30 for none payment Not forgetting the 60% APR interest rate to be applied in the future.

To digress for the moment. For the last ten year , whilst in your marina, I had been using my on board electricity meter. Result of which is. I've been happily paying you for electricity whether it came from other marinas or my own generator and obviously use far more when on board and cruising about, than the measly bit for charging the batteries in your marina. How ever in your wisdom, you banned it's use, no doubt to get your grubby hands on the over priced meters you sell. Thanks to the generosity of this form, this was neatly avoided by the free donation of said meter from a member.

Regarding the none payment of the electric bill.

Apparently, there is a yacht in my berth and has been more or less since I left, approx eight weeks ago. A small point that you have neglected to inform me of. Hence the none payment for leccy stuff. Please could advise a suitable fine and ongoing interest rate that should be applied in this instance.

I eagerly await your response here.

Well then you are in credit no doubt..... muppets.

Have you called up and asked them how much they owe you for the sub letting?

Ill take a look next weekend and see who is in your spot....

of course, they probably know your in credit, but just want to claw as much of the cash off you as possible, Late payment charges and interest aint anything Ive seen applied to my late payments for leccy etc......

You may be interested to know that the launch of the new restaurant turned into a disaster.......

They were giving out pizzas that they had ordered from a takeaway at one point, one of the directors from the group came down for a "mystery shopper" type of visit, and walked out haveing been unable to obtain a drink or food.... apparently he was talking too our neighbor in the parking lot, and said that the board had allowed the local managment to take on the restaurant , at their own insistance, despite every place else using outside firms.......

No doubt after this, the boat will skedaddle forth with and no other boat will be moored there. I've been reserving words from here for donkeys years since I was banned from the marina by Bobby, who relented after words from her boss. Staff fantastic, but always worried about there jobs, a small complaint from me, resulted in being told I'd done the damage myself. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Lovely place, excelent staff, pity about the boss. Always thought her a witch, strangly enough confirmed by a relative of hers. She is a witch, I mean, a real one. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Not surprised the restaurant launch was a disaster. There are superbe pubs only a stones throw away.

Not thinking of calling them at all, I knew I had a tenant just after leaving. I have spys yerno's. It's a super place, brilliant staff controlled by Bodacia.

you mean they STILL have some parking there ?? bet its not near the trolleys, last winter you could only park near the chandlers, & walk to the trolleys, & then back again to unload your car. Conwy doesn't have many trolleys, some with locked wheels. Must be us, expecting to pay xxx thousands of £'s a year and expecting somthing like serious Marina services. Conwy told me they have 12 more trolleys on order.

Its all looking very tidy now, the new parking is up and running and they have repaved the parking up at the top as well, Cafe Crew has closed up and Ive heard they are gonna redevelop that end of the hangars over the winter!

So, all looking pretty good, Im sure they will get the restuarant sorted out, it looks great and will be a great spot to sit and have a beer....

Thinking Plymouth bad. Well no it was not, no thanks to Bodasea. Great place.

Conwy however boasts five stars. And charges acordingly. Yet there are about three trollys available, the others padlocked. You have to road test the available ones, to see if the wheels work, some times you get a free trolly, cos it fell out of the lock, saving a pound. Thats if you find one. You sit in mud, which is at first a bit alarming. Only to realise that the props and rudders sink without apparent damage.

Alarm is raised early next morning as you go for a pee. (Yes we do have holding tanks). The bog fills with thick mud, already been on the 26 mile round trip to get the bog mending pack, £25 squid. It's looking iffy again, the day after.

First visited the local Conwy Chandlers, every one sells Jabasco mending stuff. Fobbed off by bird with head down confuser after looking for ages. Look on the cleaning stuff shelf. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Brilliant guys at Dickies, loads of help, take two or bring back what dont work. Discount as well.

They (she B) are indeed somewhat keen to keep customers' money and inflexible, and refused to return two months mooring fees to me last year when I left early and found boat to take my place.

I checked a month ago about keeping the boat out of the water at PYH for some work for about 6 weeks in mid summer, and was told it would be nearly a thousand squid EXTRA above the berthing fee.

Not my favourite marina, despite the friendly people (NCOs and workers)

Is the Leccie System different Darn Sarf?
Hayden, has no one told You about the
'Bolt Cropper' System in Conwy?
Each Area / Marina seems to have a different System af accounting for leccie it seems!

Yep told by staff, it' qiite exeptable to get bolt cutters out or styiel saw if theres an old lock on lectric. I tend not to bring angle grinder to the boat. Never mind Diamond cutter style saw.

Five star marina sat in mud, Toilet knackered daily. Treat customers like shite. With amasing blog on there broture.

Bring MF to Dinorwic - we have a posh bit that never dries - and you can usually shake a £1 coin out of the trolley lock mechanism.

Actually, what with the posh bit of the marina being fresh water, not sure they'll take kindly to the daily dose of diesel.

Oh yes, as I have two rental houses alongside the dock, not keen on my tenants waking up to clouds of blue smoke in the morning.

Just thought, mebbe the site of a blackened Kawasaki emerging from the black hole of MF every day, may not be taken too kindly.

The impromptu forum parties.....Hmm.

Yes, best if you stayed at Conwy.

Kwackers has recently white washed MF's coal hole, but that was prior to the big bang which evaporated the spare diesel in the bilge, instantly transforming Conwy into a modern city with subtle shades of grey. Your properties in Dinorwic can also be suitably enriched at little expense, the coating being guaranteed for at least a thousand years.

Sounds to me you're a wee bit vexed lad? Tell Plymouth to eff off and find somewhere better than Conwy! Quickly, before you have an aneorism! Go up to Glasson, be happier there! OK, OK I know the locks and the tide, but much safer and considerably cheaper and nice pubs etc.

My bruv has just contacted them and got a berth?? Maybe full for the summer, getting popular!! Oh well, have to think of summat else!!
