Before I buy a Lidl inflatable dinghy. Anybody know anything them or should i give them a wide berth (sorry about the pun). I live in Northern Ireland and all the mail order companies charge an arm and a leg for delivery due to weight. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hmm, I had to pretend that I lived in Southampton to be able to view the tender as it is only being sold in selective stores and I guessed that one near a large body of water with AWB's floating on it would have them. Obviously, we are too poor in Cheshire to afford one.

They don't even trust people who live in North Wales to buy one.

And we can't buy the sailing jackets either.

Wonder is they trust us with knives and other sharp instruments?

The one over here is £399 but has air floor and keel. Wonder why we get different offers? Germany can't seem to get their heads around the fact that we are part of the UK! Oh and just watch out over there in Britain, going on our current form you'll end up with the terrorists you locked up to today in government in another ten years. And yes it is a sore point... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

more like good marketing and research. You might like them to sell them in stores near you, but they will have good research behind what sells in which stores, and also how big the local store is to store stock

They aren't interested in one or two people locally being interested, they need to know that their entire stock will sell in a few days as they turn over this stuff on a few days basis

So they must have missed one of the largest sailing centres in the UK, three miles from the Bangor store, Dickies half a mile away, three marinas and a load of sea water lapping the beach half a mile north of the store.

As to Cheshire, I would expect that my area of Cheshire proabably has more boaty people per square foot than anywhere else outside the Solent.

Lidl also had a brilliant compact folding white plastic table - ideal for back of the boat for under £30
